The Yamuna river in Delhi breached its all-time record on Wednesday, reaching a height of 207.55 metres, prompting precautionary measures such as section 144 CrPC in flood-prone areas. The water level in the river, likely to rise further, had already exceeded the evacuation mark and resulted in relocation of people from flood-prone locations to safer areas.
