The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal recently released
a new and long-awaited report on racial profiling by police. The results are depressingly predictable given the record of government inaction. Essentially, they show no improvement. The researchers propose recommendations that we — university professors who specialize in anti-Black racism, policy and the law — both support and suggest do not go far enough.
