An official of Jharkhand cooperative department, Mithali Sharma, was caught red-handed by the Hazaribagh Anti Corruption Bureau while accepting a bribe from a local organisation. Sharma had demanded Rs 20,000 from the Koderma Vyapar Sahyog Samiti and was caught when she accepted the first instalment of Rs 10,000. This was her first posting as an assistant registrar and she had been working for eight months when arrested.
