More rain for Connecticut Tuesday, possible thunderstorms, damaging winds
High pressure will bring partly sunny skies on Tuesday with high temperatures in the 80s and dew points in the upper 60s to the mid-70s. (meaning not so pleasant)
The winds will be south at 5 to 10 mph. A trough of low pressure will likely trigger some afternoon showers and thunderstorms that will linger into the evening hours.
Amid flooded fields, CT officials pledge support for farmers devastated by weather
In addition to torrential downpours that could produce flash flooding, damaging winds are the other main concern. However, large hail and a possible tornado are not out of the question.
High pressure will return on Wednesday with a partly sunny sky and highs again in the 80s.
