Who is Elon Musk dating now? The answer isn't clear

• It's not clear who, if anyone, Elon Musk is dating at the moment. 
• Musk reportedly split last year with actress Natasha Bassett, believed to be his last public girlfriend.
• Before Bassett, Musk dated Grimes for almost three years and before that, actress Amber Heard.

Jeff Bezos is reportedly engaged. Mark Zuckerberg has been married for over a decade. Tim Cook is famously private about his dating life.

But what about Elon Musk?

The Tesla CEO has made headlines in the past for his relationships. But right now it's not clear who — if anyone — Musk is dating.

The 52-year-old tech billionaire was rumored to be last dating Natasha Bassett, a 30-year-old Australian-born actress known for playing the role of Dixie Locke, Elvis Presley's first girlfriend, in Baz Luhrmann's biopic "Elvis."

Musk, however, never publicly confirmed the relationship, and a source told Hollywood Life in July of 2022 that they were no longer seeing each other. Musk and Shanahan, the Australian talent agency that represents Bassett, didn't respond to Insider's request for comment

Rumors of their relationship first appeared last February after he was photographed exiting his private jet in Los Angeles with an unidentified woman. However, her identity was revealed a couple months later in May when Bassett was seen attending the premiere of  "Elvis" at the Cannes film festival with Maye Musk, the billionaire's mother. 

Musk has been married and divorced three times and is a father of nine children, including twins. 

Before Bassett, Elon Musk dated Grimes, an avant garde pop singer, whom he dated for almost three years and had two kids with. However, they reportedly broke up in October of 2021 because of conflicting work schedules.

Before Grimes, Musk dated Amber Heard, an American actress, for a year. Heard said she first bonded with Elon Musk at the 2016 Met Gala. The gala followed an explosive fight with her then-husband Johnny Depp, who didn't show up. During her highly publicized defamation case with Depp, Heard's therapist, Dr. Dawn Hughes, testified that Heard said her "soul was broken" when she met Musk.

"I was heartbroken. My soul was dead. Felt nothing then," Heard told Hughes about the Musk relationship, according to Hughes' notes. 

Heard told Hughes that the relationship with Musk ended in March 2018. 

Previously, Musk was married to actress Talula Riley twice. He was also married to his first wife, Justine Wilson, for eight years, tying the knot in 2000 after originally meeting in college.
