A federal judge says that his order blocking a Florida law targeting drag shows doesn’t just apply to the restaurant that brought a lawsuit challenging it but other venues in the state. U.S. District Judge Gregory Presnell on Wednesday reiterated that the legislation championed by Gov. Ron DeSantis is likely unconstitutional. A state agency wanted to put on hold the judge's preliminary injunction stopping the law from being enforced while it is being appealed. Attorneys for Florida told the judge that the preliminary injunction should only apply to the Orlando restaurant that sued and not other venues. The judge rejected that argument.
