India vs Pakistan ODI World Cup 2023 Match’s New Date Announced | Check Here
THE ODI World Cup 2023 match between India and Pakistan which will be played on October 15 will likely be rescheduled due to the first day of Navratri festival.
ICC has already announced the sechedule and venues for the tournament. The first match will be played between defending champions England and New Zealand at Narendra Modi Stadium at Ahmedabad.
Both arch-rivals India and Pakistan were supposed to play at the same venue on October 15 but due to Navratri the game will be played on October 14 at the same venue.
“The India vs Pakistan match in the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023 might be played on Saturday, October 14th rather than the 15th to avoid the occasion of the start day of Navratri” reported Rev Sportz.
This will be the bad news for fans who had already made bookings for the nail-biter clash. Reports from Ahmedabad say that most hotels are already over-booked for mid-October and even homestay options have been exhausted.
However, Ahmedabad will host five matches including the final of the tournament.
The tournament retains the round-robin format of last time with all teams playing against each other for a total of 45 league matches. There are six day matches which will start at 10:30 Indian Standard Time (IST) while all other matches, including the knockouts, will be day-night fixtures starting at 1400 IST.
The top four teams will qualify for the semifinals, to be played in Mumbai on November 15 and in Kolkata on November 16. The semi-finals and the final will have reserve days.
