An entrepreneur from Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh, has successfully exported charota, a leafy monsoon plant grown in the region, to China, Vietnam, and Korea. The scientific name for the plant's seeds is cassia torra seeds. Although the plant has little value in India, its seeds are used as a beverage with aromatic properties in China and have other culinary, cosmetic, and medicinal uses.
