Top UK police chief suspended over allegations of misconduct
The Chief Constable of Devon and Cornwall Police has been suspended over allegations of misconduct.
Will Kerr’s suspension was announced by Alison Hernandez, the force’s Police and Crime Commissioner.
He’s been suspended under section 38(2) of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011.
The suspension has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, which is now investigating.
Kerr joined the force in December 2022.
