China has rejected reports that it scuppered climate discussions between G20 environment ministers last week, saying it was "regrettable" they had failed to reach an agreement. Last week's negotiations failed to agree on tripling renewable energy use for COP28. The meetings came days after energy ministers from the G20 failed to agree on a plan to cut fossil fuels from the global energy mix.
