Both Rao Inderjit Singh and Haryana's deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala have expressed their reservations in handling of the situation by police. Singh, an MP from Gurugram Lok Sabha constituency under which Nuh also falls, said it is unfortunate that "riots happened in the area which did not witness any dangebazi (rioting) even during the partition."
