On Monday evening, when 35-year-old Shakti Singh got a call about a mob laying siege to a gurukul in Nuh’s Mandi Khera area, he immediately grew tense. His younger brother Omvir was a teacher at the gurukul and lived there with his family. Singh told his wife he was stepping out to check on them. He never returned.
