A student of IIT-Roorkee was allegedly kidnapped from near her residence in Kanpur on Friday. The incident came to light on Saturday when a video on her father's mobile phone was received in which she was pleading for help. In a phone call, the kidnapper later demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh from the girl's father.
