Construction and equipment (CE) manufacturers are requesting the Indian government to implement a production linked incentive (PLI) scheme to provide a level-playing field in the industry. President of ICEMA, Dimitrov Krishnan, stated that the PLI Scheme will increase the manufacturing of heavy machinery and make skill certification mandatory for mining projects.
