Adyar Aalamaram has instant recall. It consistently makes it to tourist guides about the city and its extended outskirts. Besides this grand old tree on the Theosophical Society Campus in Adyar, are there banyans that have similarly survived the vagaries of time? They may not be as old and grand and huge as the one in Adyar, but they surely have stories of their own that are worth telling.
