Pakistan has reportedly put on hold a multi-billion dollar gas pipeline project to import cheap energy from its neighbour, Iran, which may have been due to pressure from the US. Pakistan has apparently expressed its inability to pursue the project as long as US sanctions on Iran remain in place.
