RVA Surveyors wins Business Rates Reduction Specialists of the Year
RVA Surveyors have won the annual IE100 Award for 2023 Business Rates Reduction Specialists (UK) from International Elite (IE).
Business rates is a tax on commercial properties, the commercial equivalent of council tax. The Valuation Office Agency (VOA) sets the rateable value (RV) for each commercial property at each new revaluation, which in turn determines the amount of business rates liability. However, if just one area of a commercial property is incorrectly assessed, then the liability for that property could be exponentially more than it should be.
Earlier this year, RVA Surveyors received a third-party nomination based on the merits and achievements of their service. The IE100 Awards were established to honour the achievements of ability, across all areas of business. An annual event, IE host and judge nominations before informing the winners. All winners will be listed in their Autumn/Winter magazine edition.

The new rating list began in April 2023, with a host of interim support packages and short-term extensions to reliefs. A large portion of which was dedicated to helping business owners and leaders with their business rates. RVA have continued to evolve to meet the varying demands that have arisen from this in their services.
