INDIAN cricket team captain Rohit Sharma gave a beautiful reaction to Tilak Varma’s fifty celebration in the second T20I. Tilak scored his maiden T20I fifty in the second T20I against West Indies. As soon as he reached the landmark, he made a cryptic gesture, leaving the commentators and fans clueless. Tilak later confirmed that the celebration was dedicated to Samaira, the daughter of Rohit Sharma.
“It was towards Sammy, Rohit bhai’s daughter,” Tilak told reporters. “I am very close to Sammy. I had promised her that whenever I will score a century or a fifty, I will do a celebration for her,” he added.
Rohit Sharma, who is presently in the USA for the ICC World Cup Trophy tour shared the picture of Tilak Varma’s celebration on his Instagram story.
Tilak Varma Lone Bright Spot For India In Gloomy Series
Tilak has been the lone bright spot in a rather gloomy series for India. The Hardik Pandya-led side are 2-0 down in the five-match series. The batting in the absence of senior players has fallen face down.
Tilak Varma gave a glimpse of his potential in the first T20I when he scored 39 off 22 in a chase of 150 and backed it up with a brilliant 51 to take India to a respectable 152-7. Tilak, however, did not get much support in both games as India succumbed to defeats.
