Kellie Pickler Reveals Plans for Memorial Service for Husband Kyle Jacobs, Thanks Fans for Support 6 Months After His Tragic Death
Kellie Pickler is opening up after tragically losing her husband Kyle Jacobs.
The 37-year-old American Idol alum’s husband died by suicide in February.
She thanked fans for their support and shared plans to honor Kyle‘s memory in a heartfelt statement shared on Thursday (August 17).

“One of the most beautiful lessons my husband taught me was in a moment of a crisis, if you don’t know what to do, ‘do nothing, just be still.’ I have chosen to heed his advice,” Kellie said in a statement shared with People.
She continued, writing, “Thank you to my family, friends, and supporters, for the countless letters, calls, and messages that you have sent my way. It has truly touched my soul and it’s helping me get through the darkest time in my life. As many of you have told me, you are all in my prayers.”
Kellie confirmed that she would be holding “an intimate memorial for my husband” in the fall. “That is what Kyle would have wanted,” she said.

Kellie and Kyle announced their engagement in the summer of 2010 and tied the knot in January 2011.
