Cavs open 2023-24 season in Brooklyn
The Cavs then play two home games back-to-back against the Thunder and Pacers.
The Cleveland Cavaliers will kick off the 2023-24 regular season the road with a game against the Brooklyn Nets on Oct. 25. From there, they will play their first game at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Oct. 27 before hosting the Indiana Pacers the next night on Oct. 28.

Some schedule notes via Cavs PR:
- The Cavs will pay 15 sets of back-to-back games).
- The team’s longest road trip is five games over eight days from March 31-April 7.
- The Cavs will not play in Christmas Day as part of the team’s annual slate, but will play on Halloween against the Knicks, Thanksgiving Eve against the Heat, New Year’s Day in Toronto and Easter in Denver.
Cleveland will end its season on the following five games: April 6 at the Los Angeles Lakers, April 7 against the Los Angeles Clippers, April 10 against the Memphis Grizzlies, April 12 against the Indiana Pacers and April 14 against the Charlotte Hornets. As previously announced, the team will play its in-season tournament group games in November and could have games added in December if they make to the quarterfinals (or later) in the tournament. The November group games count towards the Cavs’ regular season record.
The Cavs will face the aforementioned Knicks, who eliminated them in the playoffs last year, three times: Oct. 31 in Cleveland, Nov. 1 in New York and March 3 in Cleveland. Cleveland will face every team in the Eastern Conference four times except for the Knicks, Hornets, Heat, Celtics and Raptors three times each.
Cleveland also has a robust national TV presence this year. That is as follows:
- 3 games on TNT (Oct. 31 vs. New York, Nov. 21 at Philadelphia and Feb. 1 at Memphis).
- 6 games on ESPN (Jan. 17 vs. Milwaukee, Feb. 14 vs. Chicago, Feb. 23 at Philadelphia, March 3 vs. New York, March 10 vs. Brooklyn, April 3 at Phoenix).
- 8 games on NBA TV (Nov. 11 at Golden State, Nov. 13 at Sacramento, Dec. 14 at Boston, Dec. 16 vs. Atlanta, Dec. 29 vs. Milwaukee, Jan. 11 vs. Brooklyn in NBA Paris Game, March 29 vs. Philadelphia, and March 31 at Denver).
- The Nov. 21st TNT game versus Philadelphia will also air on ESPN Radio.
The NBA Paris game on Jan. 11, do the international travel, features extra days off on both sides. Before the Paris game, their previous game is on Jan. 7 at home against the Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs. After Paris, they are off until Jan. 15 until they host the Chicago Bulls.
