Big Weekend as New Season Gets Underway
Mains Park is the place to be this weekend!
The Reds kick off their season with a friendly against Cumbernauld, which will allow both Clubs to give run-outs to their extended squads. The kick-off at 2pm follows a Walking Rugby Festival, featuring the Vintage Reds which gets underway at 11am. These matches will be on Upper Mains Park, whilst on the bottom pitch, AFL Scotland will hold their Aussie Rules Grand Finals with the women at 11am and the men at 2pm.
Roll forward to Sunday and the Wee Reds Micros and Minis resume training at 11am, with the Young Reds getting into action at 2pm with games against West of Scotland for the U16s (Upper Mains Park) and the S1s (Lower Mains Park) – the Young Reds S2s and S3s will travel through to Burnbrae on Sunday for their opening matches.
In between at 12noon we will have a “whole Club photoshoot”, followed by presentation of Club ties to the S1 squad ahead of their first ever Young Reds match.
