Marlins to play Saturday doubleheader after Sunday matchup with Dodgers in L.A. moved up as Hurricane Hilary looms
With Hurricane Hilary forecast to impact Southern California this weekend, the Miami Marlins, as part of a trio of games rescheduled by Major League Baseball, will play a split doubleheader against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday and no longer play a game on Sunday at Dodger Stadium.
The first Marlins-Dodgers game on Saturday will be at 3 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, with the nightcap at 9:10.
Also moved from Sunday to Saturday was a game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and host San Diego Padres and one pitting the Tampa Bay Rays against the homestanding Los Angeles Angels.
The changes were announced by MLB as Hurricane Hilary churned off Mexico’s Pacific coast Friday as a powerful Category 4 storm.
