The Municipal Corporation of Manesar (MCM) has collected property tax amounting to Rs 18 crore since April 1 this year. The corporation has also issued 30,000 notices to defaulting property owners across Manesar to submit their dues. The civic body has outsourced the distribution of bills to a private firm. The MCM officials said that this is the highest tax collection since the civic body was constituted around three years ago as only those requiring a no-dues certificate were paying property tax.
