Man reveals amazing secret IKEA hack that sees your old furniture get fixed for free
A MAN has shared a handy tip that saves you from throwing out your broken IKEA furniture.
The TikTok user, called Naam, revealed in video how you can request new parts from the store rather than having to replace everything.
Captioning the post, the thrifty shopper wrote: “Turning trash into treasure with this IKEA hack! Learn how to get free spare parts and revive your old furniture!”
Speaking to the camera, he said: “Do not toss out your old IKEA furniture without knowing this.”
Naam continued: “Not many people know this but IKEA gives out free replacement parts.”
He revealed that all you needed to do is search on Google for ‘IKEA spare parts’.
On the UK’s IKEA site, it explains: “You can order smaller spare parts such as screws, knobs or plugs at no cost using our self-service.”
Similarly, they add: “We have many furniture spare parts available. You can ask about them at your IKEA store or by contacting our customer service centre, these are only available when your items are still under warranty.”
Naam’s tip was popular with social media users, who left more than 104,000 ‘likes’.

Some pointed out that it also depends on the country you live, and whether they still produce the particular furniture model.
Several others also pointed out the store has a scheme where they “buy back” items you no longer want.
