Oti Mabuse reveals the exact moment she told her husband and family she was pregnant in heart-warming video
OTI Mabuse shared the touching moment she told her family that she was pregnant – including her stunned husband.
The former Strictly Come Dancing star had to break the news over the phone as many of her loved ones live in her native South Africa.
Oti’s husband Marius Lepure was barely awake when he was presented with the positive pregnancy test.
Snuggled up in their bed, he was handed the stick, which he looked at in disbelief before breaking into a huge smile.
Other friends screamed over video calls, with one exclaiming: “Oh my god”.
In one clip one friend spotted her bump from across the room before running over to take a closer look in amazement.
“Living in a different country as a couple means you don’t have family around to break the news face to face to,” she wrote on Instagram.
“And most often friends became family we are so extremely lucky with our group of friends, *disclaimer* this isn’t all of them not enough video space but we kept our circle really tight, full of positive energy, laughter and joy,” she continued.
“Because that first and secondly trimester can we super super challenging. Really grateful.”
Fans flocked to the comment section to share their excitement for the couple.
“What wonderful news. I am sure your baby will dance before they walk,” one wrote.
Motsi said: “just cried again” and Jamie Laing added: “This is wonderful in so many ways.”
Janette Manrara commented: “Telling family and friends is so special! All of them beautiful moments.”
She shared the news with fans on her ITV show Oti Mabuse’s Breakfast Show alongside Marius.
The couple chatted for a few minutes as she asked Marius to tell viewers more about himself.
He then showed Oti’s guests some steps for the Jive, with his wife also participating while wearing a loose fitting pink patterned dress and heels.
Once they had finished, the couple made their special announcement.
Oti cuddled up to Marius and said: “Speaking of things that you didn’t know at home, we have a little something for all of you, we’ve been holding some good news.
“We’re having a baby!”
The couple then shared a big hug as her guests and the show’s crew cheered.
Seconds later, Oti shared stunning snaps on her Instagram, showing off her growing bump in a tight pink jumpsuit as she cuddled up to Marius.
Oti and fellow professional dancer Marius have been married since 2014.
