Report: Spurs and Newcastle both eyeing late move for Eredivisie winger
The Sun’s Alan Nixon has revealed on his Patreon that Tottenham Hotspur are considering a late move for PSV Eindhoven winger Johan Bakayoko.
Bakayoko impressed after breaking into PSV’s starting eleven last season, finishing the campaign with nine goals and six assists in 39 appearances across all competitions (Transfermarkt).
Nixon has now stated that Tottenham and Newcastle are both making ‘last-minute checks’ on the 20-year-old before the transfer window closes.

The journalist claims that scouts were both clubs were at Ibrox last Tuesday night to watch Bakayoko in action in the first leg of the Champions League qualifier against Rangers, with the winger setting up both of PSV’s goals in the 2-2 draw.
According to Nixon, scouts from Spurs and the Magpies will travel to Eindhoven this Wednesday to watch the Belgian international in action in the second leg.
He adds that Bakayoko is also of interest to Everton and Burnley, with the Eredivisie club said to value the player at £30m.

Based on the players Spurs are being linked with over the last two weeks, it seems like Postecoglou feels he reinforce Kulusevski on the right side. Perhaps the Australian is not fully convinced that Solomon is the answer. Bakayoko is very similar to Kulusevski but is a little more aggressive than the Swede in one-on-one situations.
