A city planning official has approved a proposal to expand the Lexus dealership and repair center in the Canal neighborhood.
The business filed for a permit to enlarge its operation from 19,400 square feet to 34,000 square feet at 513 Francisco Blvd. The Design Review Board recommended in June that the city planning office approve the proposal.
A zoning administrator cleared the project at a hearing on Wednesday, said Monica Ly, a city planner.
