Investigation into crack cocaine sales leads to four arrests in CT
An investigation into narcotic sales in Norwalk led to the arrest of four people from Connecticut who were allegedly involved with selling illegal substances in the city, police said.
Two people from Norwalk, a man from Bridgeport and another man from Stamford were arrested this week and charged in connection with crack cocaine sales, according to the Norwalk Police Department.
The investigation, initiated by the Norwalk Special Services Division this summer, was launched after investigators received anonymous complaints from citizens, police said.
Over the summer, investigators searched 34-year-old Robert Dennison of Bridgeport while he was in Ryan Park and found crack cocaine in his possession, according to police. He was arrested at the park and investigators later secured arrest warrants for three additional people, police said.
Dennison was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. His bond was set at $75,000, according to police.
Calvin Moultrie, 35, of Norwalk was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of conspiracy to commit the sale of narcotics and the sale of narcotics. His bond was set at $450,000 and he was scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 16, police said.
Alice Rivera, 56, also of Norwalk, was charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit the sale of narcotics and possession of a controlled substance. Her bond was set at $30,000 and she was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, according to police.
Tasman Brown, 34, of Stamford was charged with possession of a controlled substance and conspiracy to commit the sale of narcotics. His bond was set at $50,000 and he was scheduled to appear in court on Friday, police said.
