England cricket legend Stuart Broad takes job in new sport just four weeks after incredible Ashes retirement
STUART BROAD has taken a new job covering football just four weeks after his cricket retirement.
The legendary England bowler called time on his career four weeks ago following the Ashes.
He finished his playing career in heroic fashion, taking the final wicket as England levelled the series at 2-2 with Australia.
Broad, 37, quickly stepped into a new role – taking no time off before appearing on Sky Sports’ cricket coverage.
Tonight, he will work for Sky once again – but this time chatting about football.
The broadcaster have confirmed that Broad will appear on Soccer Special this evening.
Soccer Special will go around the grounds keeping fans up to date with the latest scores, much like Soccer Saturday.
The programme is usually hosted by Julian Warren.
Sky have confirmed that Broad will appear alongside regular pundits Paul Merson, Jobi McAnuff, Kris Boyd and Alan Pardew.
It is not yet known which game Broad will be covering.

There are five League Cup matches this evening, including Chelsea vs AFC Wimbledon.
The gang will also be providing updates from Harrogate vs Blackburn, Nottingham Forest vs Burnley, Sheffield United vs Lincoln and Doncaster vs Everton.
Nottinghamshire legend Broad is most likely to be tasked with watching his beloved Forest.
Broad will hope for a smooth entrance to work this evening, after he was barred from Lord’s just five days after his cricket retirement.
The England icon had been trying to enter the stadium with his player pass for his punditry work on The Hundred – only to find his credentials had already been erased.
Following his retirement, Broad was in talks over joining the cast of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
But after dialogue he decided against entering the show.
Explaining his decision, he told the Mail: “One, I can’t dance and two, I quite like the idea of not training for something new.”
