pCavallin led calls for the £85million player to dropped from the squad after he was also axed from the Brazilian national team. /p
pAnd the club had been facing pressure to take action on Antony especially after the controversy surrounding Mason Greenwood./p
pAntony strongly denies all allegations against him. /p
pIn a statement, Man Utd said: #8220;Manchester United acknowledges the allegations made against Antony. /p
p#8220;Players who have not participated in international matches are due back in training on Monday. /p
p#8220;However, it has been agreed with Antony that he will delay his return until further notice in order to address the allegations. /p
p#8220;As a club we condemn acts of violence and abuse. /p
p#8220;We recognise the importance of safeguarding all those involved in this situation, and acknowledge the impact these allegations have on survivors of abuse.”/p
pFollowing the statement, Antony said: #8220;I have agreed with Manchester United to take a period of absence while I address the allegations made against me. /p
