A SELF-DESCRIBED design mix master has revealed the one sink she would never choose for her own home.
She said not only can get create a mess at times, but they can give your house a sense of ’80s nostalgia really quickly.
Homemaker Deirdre Doherty (@ddidesigns) has a special eye for interior design.
In a TikTok video, she revealed what sink style she would not want and encouraged others not to get it.
The entire video took place inside a home improvement store, where she referenced several examples of them in the vicinity.
“You may have heard me say I’m not a fan of vessel sinks,” she said as she referenced the model.
Aside from the fact that they can go “really ’90s really quickly,” she said that she thinks they create a mess.
“They get water all over the countertop. Nobody likes it at the end of the day, and that’s why I don’t like them,” she added.
If you’re still interested in a vessel sink, she suggested getting a wider one, so you “capture a lot of that water” and “not come up with that issue.”
In her eyes, those types of sinks are a yes.
There were conflicting opinions in the comment section of the video.
One shared: “My biggest reason is because they collect dust and hair where they meet the counter. Hard to clean.”
“I have one and regret it. They are so messy,” another commented.
