Joe Jonas’s Recent Comments Sound Like a Vague Dig at His Estranged Wife Sophie Turner
Joe Jonas’s recent comments may have just added more fuel to the fire of rumors swirling about his and Sophie Turner’s divorce.
In details released by People from the Jonas Brothers’ latest show, Joe broke his silence on everything that’s happened after news came out about his and Turner’s divorce. Right before singing the group’s song “Hesitate” (which was actually inspired by Turner), Joe addressed the crowd.
“It’s been a crazy week,” he said. “I just want to say, if you don’t hear it from these lips, don’t believe it. Okay? Thank you, everyone, for the love and support to me and my family. I love you guys.”
Now these recent comments have added fuel to the fire, with many fans questioning his word choice.
This shocking celebrity divorce has been arguably one of the most divisive in recent years, with conflicting reports coming out from all angles. Within the past week, there have been claims of Turner being out at parties all the time (despite both saying she’s more of a homebody). There have been reports about a Ring camera situation, how her second pregnancy was handled, and more.
With so many rumors coming from all angles, many are wondering why Joe didn’t show a united front on his statement, like Turner did.
While the Game of Thrones star has stayed more quiet about the situation, she did post to Instagram on Sept 5. She posted a photo that read “Statement from the two of us,” continuing on by saying, “After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision, and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
Many have wondered if this was a dig, a slip-up, or to show that there may not be a united front going on in this messy divorce.
Joe and Turner started dating in 2016, eloped in 2019, and welcomed two daughters named Willa and another daughter whose name they haven’t released. They announced their divorce in Sept 2023 after news broke that Jonas retained a divorce lawyer.
