Doja Cat Flatters Her Feet in Sheer Pumps for MTV VMAs 2023 Red Carpet
Doja Cat took a transparent approach to dressing for the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.
While hitting the VMA’s red carpet at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., on Tuesday night, Doja Cat struck a pose in a set of glossy pumps. The “Attention” singer’s style featured cloudy see-through uppers with pointed toes and thin slingback straps, all set atop thin soles. A set of equally clear heels with a pyramid-angled base, likely totaling at least 4 inches in height, completed the pair with a balanced finish.
Similar sleek pumps could also be seen on a wide range of stars on the red carpet for the occasion, including Demi Lovato, Tayshia Adams and Cyn Santana.
The “Best Friend” singer’s nearly invisible heels added a slick base to her outfit for the occasion: a white open-knit dress with numerous threaded crossed straps and cutouts, finished by a lightly draped train. Doja Cat gave the daring piece a glamorous edge with a sparkling twisted cuff bracelet and numerous layered rings, all covered in diamonds.
A set of linear diamond drop earrings, as well as bejeweled spider-shaped climber earrings, finished her attire for a surrealist effect — allowing the insect jewelry to appear as though it had knit the dress onto her body.
The MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) celebrate the top music videos and performances in the music industry. This year’s awards show will honor Shakira with the Video Vanguard Award for her musical contributions to pop culture, and feature a range of performances by stars, including Doja Cat, Anitta, Cardi B, Meghan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj and Olivia Rodrigo.
