Shakira’s Sons Milan and Sasha Piqué Drip in Versace With Chunky Sneakers at MTV VMAs 2023 Red Carpet
Shakira’s sons Milan and Sasha joined their mother on the pink carpet at the 2023 MTV VMAs held in Newark, N.J., tonight. The whole family was outfitted in Versace.
Shakira is nominated for Artist of the Year, Best Collaboration and Best Latin Artist. The Latin songstress also received the Video Vanguard Award, an award which was given to fellow artist Nicki Minaj the following year.
The hitmaker’s sons laced up matching black and yellow sneakers constructed of mixed textile and leather, uppers in black and yellow with sleek and coordinating black lace-up detailing and a chunky and athletic silhouette. Additionally, the sneakers featured plush rubber soles fitted with reliable non-slip tread.
Alternatively, the “Waka Waka” singer sported a pair of gold-heeled sandals from Piferi in a sky-high platform style. The lofty set was comprised of glossy metallic uppers accompanied by thick and secure straps that sat overtop Shakira’s toes.
Coordinating with their mother, the 10 and eight-year-old donned matching black and yellow-gold ensembles comprised of oversized hoodies featuring Versace’s Medusa head print layered overtop polos with the same graphic print. On the bottom, both boys wore baggy sweatpants that also featured the Italian brand’s Medusa logo print.
Shakira wore a gold chainmail floor-length gown featuring a strappy bodice and a low back. The garment was crafted of a shiny reflective fabric likened to chainmail. The dress was fitted and featured a slouchy strappy neckline and a low strappy back that transitioned into an elegant floor-sweeping skirt.
The MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) celebrate the top music videos and performances in the music industry. This year’s awards show will honor Shakira with the Video Vanguard Award for her musical contributions to pop culture, and feature a range of performances by stars, including Doja Cat, Anitta, Cardi B, Meghan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj and Olivia Rodrigo.
