Starting September 15, all slow locals terminating and originating at Dadar station in Mumbai will be redirected to Parel, as authorities widen platform 1-2 at Dadar. Dadar station on Central Railway sees a daily footfall of nearly 500,000 commuters. The widening work will increase the width of platform 1 from 7 meters to 10.5 meters and is expected to be completed within two months at a cost of Rs 1 crore.
