Thirty years ago, the famous handshake between Palestinian Yasser Arafat and Israeli Yitzhak Rabin ratified the Oslo Accords. The aim was to implement a two-state solution. Since then, however, the number of Israeli settlers in the West Bank has continued to rise. Recently, a new plan, backed by settlement leaders, envisages doubling their numbers to 1 million by 2050.
