Motorcyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in West Hartford crash
A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries during a crash involving another car in West Hartford Tuesday night.
The accident was reported at about 9:13 p.m. at the intersection of South Main and Elmfield streets where responding officers found the motorcyclist suffering from serious injuries, according to the West Hartford Police Department.
The victim, who has not been identified, was provided medical aid at the scene before being taken to an area hospital.
According to police, the motorcycle operator was involved in a collision with a car. The driver of the car remained at the scene and has been cooperative with authorities, police said.
The West Hartford Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash.
The intersection where the crash was reported was closed following the accident while police processed the scene.
