Cardi B Takes a Style Note From Shakira in 6.5-Inch Piferi Heels at MTV VMAs 2023 After Party
Cardi B was spotted a the MTV VMAs 2023 after party celebrating the evening with her husband Offset yesterday in New York.
The “WAP” rapper donned gold sandal heels in a lofty platform style from Piferi. The lofty set featured of glossy shiny uppers accompanied by thick and sturdy straps that sat overtop Cardi’s toes and around her ankles, securing the footwear in place. The shoes additionally featured synthetic lining, coordinating gold buckle closures, thick 2.3-inch platform soles and breathable peep-toes.
Although they were hard to see over the hem of her gown, the performer’s gilded footwear was rounded out with 6.5-inch block heels, offering the star a sky-high boost.
Fellow performer Shakira wore the same Piferi platforms during the award ceremony.
Accompanying her lofty footwear, Cardi was outfitted in a sheer aqua halter-style gown. The garment featured a crisscrossing halter-style bodice with a ruched skirt.
Cardi often works a variety of platform styles in her outfits. From sky-high sandals to death-defying pumps, the star has sported it all. She is renowned for her love of Christian Louboutin heels — which she’s coined “bloody shoes” for their signature red soles. The rapper has also stepped out in a range of styles over the years, including Jimmy Choo sandals, Jessica Rich mules, Bottega Veneta combat boots and more.
The MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) celebrate the top music videos and performances in the music industry. This year’s awards show will honor Shakira with the Video Vanguard Award for her musical contributions to pop culture, and feature a range of performances by stars, including Doja Cat, Anitta, Cardi B, Meghan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj and Olivia Rodrigo.
