Boss of soft play snared at Florida airport was on US travel watchlist after ‘buying child sex abuse images online’
A SOFT play boss snared at a Florida airport was on a travel watchlist after US law enforcement found he had bought child sex abuse images online, we can reveal.
Steven McInally, 35, triggered an alert as he flew into Melbourne Orlando International Airport from Glasgow with his family.
An officer ordered him to open his iPhone and allegedly found a depraved picture of a sleeping girl aged “seven to ten” suffering a horrific sex assault.
Dad-of-three McInally, was arrested and Police Scotland was asked to seal off and search his Go Wild soft play in Bridgeton, Glasgow, as well as his home in nearby Tollcross.
The shocking new details are outlined in legal documents seen by The Scottish Sun after McInally appeared in a Florida court.
An affidavit lodged by Brevard County Sheriff’s Office reveals they were called to the airport on August 25 to assist Customs and Homeland Security.
It reads: ‘The investigation was in reference to a traveller, Mr. Steven McInally, travelling into the country from Scotland.
‘It should be noted there was information obtained by Customs and Border Protection that Mr McInally might have been involved in purchasing child pornography online and his travel had been flagged due to this information.
‘Mr. McInally and his family arrived at the Melbourne Orlando International Airport, and were escorted by Customs and Border Protection, in order to conduct a border search.
‘Mr McInally’s cellular phone was searched by Customs and Border Protection Officer Tweedie.
‘Mr McInally opened his cellular phone via facial recognition for Officer Tweedie.
‘Officer Tweedie began searching the phone and found an image in the phone described as being a female child, between the ages of 7 to 10 years-old.’
He has been charged with 20 counts of possessing sickening images as a result of intelligence passed to US Customs and Homeland Security.
The affidavit also reads: ‘During the investigation, Mr McInally’s long-term girlfriend Michelle McCall was interviewed.
“Ms McCall advised no one other than Mr McInally utilises his phone.’
McInally has been caged and is set to face a judge this month following the airport swoop.
