HS Prannoy, despite playing with a back niggle, secured a bronze medal at the Asian Games in men's singles badminton. He lost in straight games to China's Li Shi Feng in the semifinals. Prannoy made a good start but struggled with unforced errors, allowing Li to take control of the match. This is India's first medal in men's singles at the Asian Games in 41 years.
