Karol G Gets Serves Ethereal Glamour In Sophia Webster Butterfly-Inspired Shoes at Billboard Latin Music Awards 2023 Red Carpet
Karol G showcased a glamorous white Dolce & Gabbana dress paired with coordinating platforms last night at the 2023 Billboard Latin Music Awards in Coral Gables, Florida.
The Colombian artist, who picked up five awards, hit the red carpet wearing Sophia Webster’s “Rita” platform sandal featuring an ivory satin upper with strategic cut-outs meant to mimic the look of butterfly wings and a soaring 5.5-inch block heel. The peep-toe style is complete with a crystal-embellished buckle strap fastening at the ankle. Originally retailing for $840, statement heels are currently on sale for $672 at saksfifthavenue.com.
As for her dress, the “Provenza” singer donned a bright white Dolce & Gabbana column gown with a bustier bodice, slinky shoulder straps and crystal fringe embellishing throughout.
Karol G piled her platinum blonde and pink tresses atop her head, putting her dangly diamond-studded earrings on display. The chart-topping reggaeton singer — who had the most nominations of any female artist last night, with 13 — was styled by Zerina Akers for the special occasion.
Karol G was recognized for her philanthropic work with the Con Cora Foundation at the Billboard Latin Music Awards last night. She was awarded the Spirit of Hope Award, which was inspired by the late and legendary Selena.
Before jetting to Florida for the ceremony, the Crocs collaborator was snapped on the front row at Paris Fashion Week shows including Jacqemus and Mugler. She also attended the Business of Fashion’s BoF500 Gala with Mugler creative director Casey Cadwallader.
This past year has been a big one for Karol G as she released her fourth studio album “Mañana Será Bonito” to much acclaim. Released in February, it made history as the first entirely Spanish-language album by a female artist to reach Billboard’s No. 1 spot.
