A SKINCARE enthusiast has revealed the top mistake that she claimed is all too common when developing an anti-aging regimen.
She said that many people are shelling out for expensive products, while missing one essential step for keeping skin healthy.
Varsha (@browngirlcertified) filmed herself sharing the crucial tip in a video on TikTok.
“When I see people spending $$$$$ on skincare and forgetting the most important step in their skincare routine,” read the text.
She shook her head at the camera, clearly disappointed, before face palming her forehead.
“Sunscreen,” she added as the key to anti-aging.
She posed a question for viewers, asking if they’re doing their skincare properly.
“Are you doing this skincare mistake?” she asked in the caption.
The video drew in many people who asked questions in the comment section.
“Do you recommend any particular sunscreen, especially for brown skin? Thanks,” one wrote.
Varsha directed the commenter to several other videos with sunscreen recommendations that won’t leave an unsightly white cast, which can be an issue with darker complexions.

Varsha recommended Neutrogena’s Ultra Sheer face mist, retailing for $17.49.
