I got a budget haircut – I was speechless over how bad the results were, people say they gave me ‘homework’
A SINGLETON was left devastated after seeing the results of her new haircut from her local salon.
She didn’t realize until she went home just how bad the style looked and has since been wearing her hair in a ponytail.
Elaine (@elainetawny) has over 1,900 followers on TikTok, where she shares random thoughts throughout her day.
She took to the social media platform to thank her hairstylist sarcastically after seeing just how horrific her new cut was.
She said: “Thank you Great Clips for a great clip.”
Elaine zoomed her camera in to show the visibly uneven ends on the right side of her jaw-length bob.
She captioned the post: “I love it so much.”
Having included the hashtag #badhaircut, the post quickly went viral with over 2.3 million views and 360,000 likes.
Thousands of people took to the comment section making jokes about her haircut as she joined in saying “100 percent would recommend to a friend.”
A top commenter left other viewers in hysterics by claiming the salon gave Elaine “homework.”
One person said: “Great Clips taught me how to cut hair because I had to fix everyone’s cut when they came home. Thank you Great Clips.”
Another commented: “Great Clips should be called trauma clips.
“One time I went for a trim, the woman cut five inches off my hair because she said I looked better with short hair.”

In a follow-up video, Elaine revealed that she had a date planned for the next day and was thinking about canceling.
She revealed that she also had a pimple on her cheek and was unsure what to wear.
A viewer offered to fix her hair for free if she was located nearby.
Elaine said: “This is very kind. I am in South Dakota, getting it fixed this Sunday, I appreciate the offer.”
She has continued to wear her hair in a ponytail in the majority of videos since the mishap.
