Press and pundits
Here's mine
In recent months since the take over Blues have been box office news with the national and international press latching on to the likes of Tom Brady and then ratcheted up again when WR rolled in last week.
Since then just about every paper and media outlet has asked every pundit and ex player about their view on the above mentioned people and for their crystal ball thoughts on Blues.
TBH before the takeover happened we would have been hard pushed to get a mention in the Small Heath parish magazine let alone the worldwide media arriving at the St Andrews gates desperate for a piece of the action. None of them were interested when we really needed them to raise our concerns about the previous owners.
Immaterial of agreeing or disagreeing with the pundits are we now better off having our name known worldwide, I think we are, and as the old saying goes "any publicity is good publicity". Surely being in the media spotlight will keep our new owners on their toes to be seen doing the right things to move Blues forward.
The fact that no mark ex vilers etc have decided to comment, even if it is to try and be negative shows that we are on the rise and that secretly they are worried about how far these new owners could take us.
The press will never always be kind and are probably sharpening their knives for Rooney but at least now we rate a mention.
