One dead, one wounded in San Leandro business shooting
SAN LEANDRO — One person was killed and another wounded in a shooting Wednesday afternoon at an East 14th Street business, police said.
Police did not immediately provide information about the victims, including ages or residences. Officials did confirm that both victims were adult males.
Police said just after 1 p.m. Wednesday officers responded to multiple calls of shots fired at a business in the 2200 block of East 14th Street. Authorities did not immediately identify the business.
When officers got to the scene, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds.
One person died at the scene. The other suffered minor injuries.
Police did not immediately announce any arrests. Investigators were working to determine a possible motive.
Police said in an alert Wednesday afternoon that while the investigation remains ongoing, there is no active threat to public safety.
