Kelly Rowland made sleek statements with Janelle Monae at The Hollywood Reporter’s Beauty Dinner.
The magazine hosted the beauty-focused event — which was presented by Instagram and sponsored by Upneeq — in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. For the occasion, Rowland arrived in a set of hidden high heels that were elevated by a long-sleeved black dress, complete with a large side cutout woven with gleaming silver metal loops.
Rowland’s attire was complete with a folded black silk turban, as well as sparkling black statement drop earrings covered in dark, glittering crystals. The musician also took a moment to snap photos with Monae and Jurnee Smollett at the event, as well as her own makeup artist, Sheika Daley — who, within a group of Hollywood’s top makeup artists, hairstylists and nail artists, was honored during the beauty-themed occasion.
Monae, meanwhile, popped in a set of red satin sandals with thin stiletto heels. The ankle-strapped style added a sharp finish to the musician’s vibrant red minidress from Greta Constantine — which earned added drama from its sweetheart neckline and ruffled taffeta sleeves. A smooth, matching satin clutch added a monochrome accent to the “Age of Pleasure” musician’s ensemble, which was complete with curled gleaming gold post earrings.
The Hollywood Reporter’s Beauty Dinner honored the top glam squads — including makeup, hair and nail artists — with Instagram at Holloway House. The occasion, which was sponsored by eye drop brand Upneeq, featured guests including Charlize Theron, Janelle Monae, Kelly Rowland and Shay Mitchell, among others.
