Gingrich's First Reaction To Maine Spree Shooting - MORE GUNS
Surprise, surprise. Former disgraced House Speaker turned Fox "news" contributor is calling for the Wild, Wild West in the wake of Wednesday evening's spree shooting in Maine. In Republican-land, it's always too early to talk about gun laws following a horrific event such as the Maine shooting, unless of course it's to trash them, or accuse Democrats of "politicizing" a tragedy if they dare to call for stricter gun legislation.
Here's Gingrich making an appearance on Sean Hannity's show and immediately saying the solution is more guns, and pushing the same nonsense as Franklin Graham where he suggested Israel was to blame for recent terror attacks because the country does not require citizens to own assault-style rifles.
GINGRICH: Well, I mean, first of all, it’s horrible, and I think that we’re gonna have to really think through a better method of protecting people. Frankly, in states that have conceal carry and other permits, constitutional carry permits, you have a much more rapid response to these kind of people who are crazy.
