Dr. Joyce Dermatoligst (@teawithmd) has garnered over 659,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares advice for different skin types.

She took to the social media platform joined by her mother-in-law after a video sharing the 72-year-old’s skincare routine previously went viral.

The were bombarded with questions about the anti-aging foods she teams with her beauty routine to look young.

The 72-year-old said: “I pretty much eat the same thing.

“For breakfast, I always eat steel-cut oatmeal that I cook for 25 minutes

“Then I eat two hard-boiled eggs, one the whole thing and one just whites only.

“Just because I’m a little bit conscious about controlling my LDL.”

Dr. Joyce added: “So that’s why you skip the egg yolk on the second one.”

Her mother-in-law continued: “Yes, and then I eat some cherry tomatoes and one third of an apple.

“I really like fruits but am trying to control my sugar.”

The 72-year-old explained that she tries to be disciplined with her diet as she’s aware not all of her health markers are where they should ideally be.

She continued: “For lunch, I always eat the same thing. I eat plain Greek yogurt and then I put lots of nuts.

“Roasted almond, walnuts, and then some peanuts.

“I eat it with maybe four or five strawberries or a little bit of nectarine. I could eat a lot more fruit but I’m trying to control my sugar.

“I eat this fat-free plain Greek yogurt for my bone density. I try to eat more calcium in my daily diet and also nuts.

“I have osteopenia so I need to watch my bone density.

“For dinner, I usually cook brown rice with three different beans so black bean, red bean, and another type of green bean.

“I always use brown rice half and half, half plain brown rice and half a sweet brown rice to make it taste a little bit better.

“And also barley so the rice itself is very nutritious.

“Then I usually eat half a wild-caught salmon steak that I bake and eat usually one vegetable like broccoli or cauliflower.

“I pretty much eat the same thing. I don’t eat red meat only because I don’t care for that.”

Salmon is known for being an excellent source of omega-three fatty acids which help to moisturize the skin and protect it from UV damage.

The 72-year-old said that having food poisoning when she was three has kept her from eating red meat.

She added that her diet is always full of fruit, vegetables, nuts, and milk products.

Dr. Joyce said: “It’s very healthy. Now you guys know she does have great genes and a great skincare routine but also she has a very healthy diet.”

She explained that having amazing genes doesn’t guarantee beautiful skin as sun exposure and care make a difference.

She captioned the post: “Genes, lifestyle, skincare, and diet all play a HUGE role in how your skin ages.

“My beautiful 72-year-old Umma maintains a healthy diet which no doubt keeps her skin glowing.”

The post quickly racked up over 18,000 likes with many viewers taking to the comment section to compliment her ageless appearance.

One person wrote: “Beautiful lady! No red meat and being disciplined is the key to staying healthy and young.”

Another penned: “A refreshing standard for age and grace! So lovely and a nice alternative at a time when cosmetic interventions are being normalized.”

A third added: “Thank you for sharing! Diet absolutely makes a huge difference. Hydration, eliminating smoking, and alcohol consumption as well.”

The foods included in the diet come after numerous studies focused on the superfoods that may help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

The National Library of Medicine published a study in 2019 that found women who ate more fruit had fewer lines than those who ate more meat and snack foods.

A 2016 study spotted an improvement in the skin as a result of eggs.

Researchers noticed a significant reduction in wrinkle depth and increased production of collagen after using a cream that was made with egg membranes.

Egg whites have also been shown to improve the appearance of skin.
