Wilko administrators have agreed the sale of the retailer’s brand name to The Range in a £5 million deal.
The deal will see the Wilko website and the brand name live on as all shops close for good.
And now, savvy shoppers have gone wild as they spot Wilko paint in The Range.
Not only this, but it’s massively reduced too.
So if your home needs a makeover, but you haven’t got loads of cash to splash on pricey paint, fear not, The Range has you covered.
Bargain hunter Leah Paige was stunned when she saw a Wilko section when shopping in The Range, and took to social media to alert other shoppers.
Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private Facebook group with a staggering 2.3 million members, Leah shared a picture of the Wilko bargain buys and wrote: “Wilko paint in The Range was £19, now £7.99.”
Leah spotted a section in The Range called ‘Wilko Decorating.’ Here, there was a variety of different Wilko paints, which has been slashed from £19 down to just £7.99.
So whether you’re after bathroom or kitchen paint, The Range are stocked with a number of different colours.
Not only this, but there’s ‘tough and washable’ paint too.
So if you fancy saving £11.01 on paint, you’ll need to move fast.
If that wasn’t enough, there’s also timbercare wood paint too, which has been slashed from £6, down to just £2.99.
Perfect for fences, sheds, gates and other rough-sawn timber, this cheap buy will save you £3.01 and will be sure to give your wooden areas a glow up.
Leah shared her post just 19 hours ago, and it has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly racked up 552 likes and 401 comments.
Social media users were stunned at spotting Wilko paint in The Range and many were desperate to go and check it out.
One person said: “I need to go.”
Another added: “I’m going today.”
A third commented: “Will have to go and look.”
At the same time, one Wilko shopper explained: “Wilko bathroom paint is brilliant in the kitchen! It allows you to wipe any stain from the walls!”
Whilst someone else claimed: “Better than more expensive brands.”
Meanwhile, another shopper explained: “Tester pots are down to 25p.. I’m doing a gen metric wall so this saved me a few bob.”
