Dr Priya dead – Pregnant Malayalam TV actress suffers fatal heart attack aged 35 as baby is saved by doctors
PREGNANT Malayalam actress Dr. Priya has tragically passed away at 35.
The expecting mother reportedly died due to cardiac arrest in a private hospital on October 31.
The actress underwent a regular pregnancy check-up at the hospital shortly before suffering the fatal heart attack – it has been reported.
Doctors have managed to save the newborn baby and he has been put in the Intensive Care Unit, according to the hospital.
She is survived by her mother and husband.
Paying tributes to the late Malayalam star, actor Kishor Satya broke the sad news to fans: “Yet another unexpected death in the Malayalam TV industry.
“Dr. Priya has passed away due to a heart attack.
“She was eight months pregnant.
“May her soul rest in peace and god gives her family the courage to survive this tragic loss.”
Besides being a doctor by profession, Priya was one of the popular faces in the Malayalam film industry.
She is known for sharing the screen with star actor Kishor in the popular show Karuthamuthu.
After her marriage, Priya took a temporary break from her acting career to focus more on her family.
It comes after Malayalam actress Renjusha Menon, 35, was found dead in her apartment.
The South-Indian star allegedly took her own life in the flat she shared with her husband in Thiruvananthapuram.
She is survived by her father C G Ravindranath and mother Umadevi.
The Kerala Police Department is now investigating the circumstances surrounding her death and the body has been sent for autopsy.
The actress was going through a grave financial crisis – it was reported.
